ULTRA EUROPE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Ultra music festival was held in Split, Croatia last week for the second time. Ultra is a world known festival which is now expending to all continents in the world. We all know the original one, held in Miami every Spring and now the European version which was firstly organized last Summer in Croatia.
This year me and my friends decided to attend it, because we could not say no to a party this big!We got to Split on Thursday a day before Ultra started. So of course we had to attend a few pre-parties as well which were amazing by the way!

Ultra started on Friday and ended on Sunday. The artists at this incredible event were: Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, Fedde Le Grand, Above and Beyond, Example, Showtek, The Chainsmokers, Deorro, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Knife Party, Laidback Luke, DJ Snake, Blasterjaxx, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Tiesto, Afrojack, W&W, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Twoloud, Adriano Fuerte, Mossel, Disclosure, Cosmic Gate, Gramatik, Carl Cox and many more amazing music artists.
My friends had some words to share, which I think is the best part of this whole journey. Sharing moments like this with people who find this as spectacular as I do is simply indescribable.

Ines Kolar:
I mostly liked the ambience and the people, a lot of youngsters all around the stadium. People actually wore masks just for this event, I find that really clever and fun. Light show was fantastic as well as the fireworks. My favorite artists were: Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and Alesso.

Maja Ček a.k.a. DJ GLIA:
As a regular visitor of festivals, I must definitely say that Ultra Europe brought it to the next level this year, the lineup was a sick as it can get, the stage was much more improved and on a whole different level than last year. I loved the fact the main stage had only the best of the best djs and also the fact that the ''small stage'' was occupied with visitors at all time, it gave the whole festival the underground feeling so it covered all the genres from trance to house, from deep house to dubstep. As a lover of almost all the genres of electronic music I must say that for me the best opening performance with a deep house taste was Disclsoure, the best performance that was on the main stage was definitely Hardwell, he gave the crowd so much energy it was almost unbelievable , also his mix was flawless, really good track list and good mixing. The DJ who was must unusual for lots of visitors was DJ Snake, as he introduced quite a new music genre called Trap to the audience, which gave Ultra a whole different taste. My top five would so be DIsclosure, Dj snake, Laidback Luke, Hardwell and Armin van Burren, it's rather hard to do this charts as every single artists gave the crowd the very best it could. Ultra definitely getting better, worth while visiting next year.

Žan Vončina a.k.a. DJ MoriKill:
I mostly liked the stage and the light show which were both spectacular. As Ines said people were the ones that made this really incredible as it was. My favorite were DJ Snake, Laidback Luke, Sebastian Ingrosso, Hardwell and Nicky Romero.

Vid Markež a.k.a. DJ Vito Markeen:I mostly liked how the stage was set, it's size and everything about it. I also liked the location, Poljud stadium, which I find much better than the one in Miami. My favorites were: Hardwell, DJ Snake, Alesso and Martin Garrix.

John Varvatos Spring & Summer 2015 show at MMFW

John Varvatos Spring & Summer 2015 collection at MMFW
A day at the opera. This is how the designer describes his Spring/Summer collection, alluding to Queen's iconic record 'A night at the Opera.' He wanted to take formal ideas inspired by evening pieces and approach them with a casual attitude for the day time, exploring a new idea of youthful and sexy elegance. He mixed classic sensibility and a loose, romantic attitude. The idea of bringing evening to the day is explored by introducing formal in formal and non-literal way. The image is elegant, while at the same time romantic: crinkles, washed suede and hand-made rough accessories draw a very chic figure. The result is a young and energetic new way of dressing during the day, drawn from the formality of evening-wear. I loved the show because it is wearable and at the same it is very well made and different in a way from any other shows I've seen during the fashion week in Milano. What makes it so special is the quality of the clothes. I also enjoyed the music during the show which matched the clothes and the ambience where the show was held, If you ask me.

DIRK BIKKEMBERGS, SPORT COUTURE AT MMFW

DIRK BIKKEMBERGS, SPORT COUTURE
MENSWEAR COLLECTION, SUMMER 2015

He is a real man, but like a superhero with a statuesque physique he goes beyond the limits of normal resistance. He succeeds in this thanks to the triathlon. And it's the triathlon that has inspired Dirk to design a Summer 2015 collection that reflects in full the brand's original vocation for sport, underlined on the catwalk by a set that recalls the three disciplines: swimming, running and cycling.

The show was different and spectacular in a dynamic but very specific way. The collection offers us a variety of choices. From bags appropriate for formal or casual use, to sandals and elegant shoes, from men's and women's wear. The clothes were in in summer colours as well as a lot of clothes in black colour. The clothes are made in in sport material and other materials as well.

The designer used turquoise colour representing swimming, green for cycling and yellow for running.
The head piece of the show was the leather biker jacket or jackets, because more were presented to the audience. Amongst the key pieces on the runway the jackets, give the figure an appearance that is both determined and refined, thanks to a blend of clean and "distressing" treatments, whilst mixes and matches follow each other quickly.

Special thanks to Ivan Guererro.
